1. I’m currently training to be a watchmaker. I’ve seen the quality of most Chinese made watches used in replicas, they’re nowhere near Swiss or Japanese made movements. It’s because of the environment that they’re assembled in, a watch has to be assembled in a very clean environment and be properly handled so that oils from the hands don’t contaminate the movement or inner parts of the case.

2. Well, for the price you’re paying for, I wouldn’t expect it to last forever. I did get my Cartier from http://www.ok-replica.com/ and quality is good. I have other replica watches from China which I bought three to four years ago and they’re still working fine. Maybe you just had to change battery once since then. Hope this helps!

3. As we all known, we need spend much money to buy a real luxurious brand watch. For most of people, they can not afford. Actually, some replica watches are very good. They have good materials, advanced technology and high quality. Besides, I am not sure the genuine watches are worth hundreds of or thousands of dollars. A lot of Swiss replica watches or Japanese fake watches or even Chinese fake watches are all high quality. If you don’t have enough money, a top quality replica watch is worth to buy.

How to tell if a Rolex watch is fake or stolen?

Question: I am looking to purchase a second hand Rolex presidential watch, but as I’m no watch expert I want to know how I can find out if the watch is real or if it has been stolen before I hand over my money. Is there any way I can check this before hand?

I would never buy a Rolex from anything other than a reputable dealer. But I know there are a lot of things to watch out for on fakes (one is that they require batteries, perpetual motion!)

If it is sold to you with someone wearing black and carrying a swag bag it is likely it is stolen.

You can take them to get appraised and they can tell you if they’re real or fake.

Check out the caseback. Probably one of the easiest ways to identify a fake Rolex is by the caseback. Counterfeiters will often use a clear display, or “skeleton” caseback, thus allowing you to view the inner workings of the watch. The problem is Rolex does not make such a watch, therefore, these models are easily identified as counterfeit.

If you are getting a fake you might as well buy one of each. They are really cheap.

The most common Rolex model is the SubMariner. I have a real one and a fake.

No matter what anyone tells you, no fakes are made in Switzerland, USA, Japan, Italy, or Russia. Most come from China.

The best one I ever seen was the one I bought while I was in China. There are many tests for fake Rolex that are posted on the net. The one I bought passes all the tests. It can give you the reception that you have a real one except for these observations:

1. Shake the watch from side to side. You can feel the winding weight and hear it scrape against the inside back of the case.

2. No part of a real Rolex will respond to a magnet. All fakes will stop running when placed near a strong magnet. A real Rolex will not.
