Baselworld 2010: Meet Blancpain Semainier Grande Date watch
At Baselworld 2010, the prominent watch company Blancpain was extremely pleased to introduce its breathtaking Semainier Grande Date watch.

A part of the brand’s L-evolution Collection, which experienced its world premiere at Basel in 2009, the new Blancpain watch is instantly identifiable due to its impressive 8-day power reserve complication.

The accurate timekeeping is ensured by the manufactory-made self-winding movement – caliber 37R8G, which incorporates three mainspring barrels and a titanium free-sprung balance. This caliber has a thickness of 7.85 mm and measures 32.00 mm in diameter.

Composed of 299 individual parts, the movement is embellished with 46 precious stones. It can be admired through a sapphire crystal case-back.

Alongside with the basic functions of indicating hours, minutes and seconds, the movement serves to display a week of the year, a large date, as well as a day of the week. The movement also brings to life the power reserve display, which shows the wearer how much energy the mainspring is holding.

The new Blancpain Semainier Grande Date watch inherited all the emblematic features of the L-evolution collection, presented last year. The company’s new brainchild is available with a 43.50 mm case, rendered in stainless steel and red gold. The thickness of the case is equal to 16.25 mm. The watch case is framed by a crisp double stepped bezel. This timepiece is complimented by a complex multi-layered dial, marked with bold oversized numerals.

The water-resistance of the remarkable Blancpain watch is down to 100 meters.

Carrera Calibre 5 Lady (36mm)

Carrera is the iconic TAG Heuer series first launched in 1964 and worn by racing legend Juan Manuel Fangio. The timepiece typifies TAG Heuer’s unique connection to motor sports.
