Ebel Classic Sport Chronograph with Colored Rubber Strap

The EBEL Classic Sport collection introduces a new Chronograph model fitted with an appealing range of colored straps – khaki, beige, brown, coral pink and navy blue.  These attractive shades create a natural palette that lends a fresh and original touch to this collection.

The first issue in the series comes in khaki! Making military green glamorous – Mission Impossible? Certainly not for EBEL. The Architects of Time move beyond camouflage-wear, introducing a chic new version of khaki green. Understatement and fanciful touches rub elegant shoulders within this new EBEL Classic Sport series.

Conveying both distinctive design and a concern for detail, the color of the hands reflects that of the strap. A staple feature amongst 2011 trends, khaki is very much this year’s ‘it’ color, blending perfectly with a broad range of hues while remaining resolutely original.

Other remarkable details of this model include the meticulous finishing of the case, the elegant integration of the pushers along the side of the case, a delicate central dial decoration, and sub-dials enhanced in a silvery tone. The classic EBEL spirit infused with a khaki flavor will add a touch of spice to your personal style!

David Yurman Ancestrale Timepieces

Evan Yurman, Design Director of Men’s Jewellery and Timepieces, said: “Making a fine artisinal cognac takes an incredible amount of knowledge, skill and intuition that’s only acquired over great periods of time.”

David Yurman has unveiled its limited edition Ancestrale timepieces for men, inspired by the world of Cognac. In the world of cognac, “ancestrale” refers to a very old, refined and desirable cognac.

Available as a Tourbillon, Jumping Hours or Small Seconds, every Ancestrale movement is housed in a round case made of rose gold. The Tourbillon will be produced in a limited edition run of just three units while the Jumping Hours and Small Seconds will be limited to 25 timepieces each.

“It struck me that there was a connection between the craftsmen of cognac and the expert watchmakers of Switzerland. They both create two of the world’s most wonderfully complex and beautiful things. Ancestrale is the marriage of the organic and mechanical.”

New Richard Mille RM 038 Tourbillon for Its New Ambassador Bubba Watson

American golfer Bubba Watson is to join Felipe Massa and Rafael Nadal as part of the Richard Mille team of ambassadors. He has fast become a favorite with Press and golfing enthusiasts alike, agreed to collaborate with Richard Mille in the production of a tourbillon golfers’ watch which would resist the shocks and accelerations associated with this sport. This golfer stands out from the crowd with his unique physique and personality.

The result is the RM 038 which was presented for the first time at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva this year and will be produced as a limited edition of 38 pieces.

The RM 038 case is made of an extremely rugged and light alloy called Magnesium-Aluminium AZ91. This alloy is composed of magnesium 90% and aluminium 8.9%. Magnesium density is of 1, 74 g/cm3, which means it is one of the lightest metal used for construction. After a long and delicate machining phase, this alloy is given an electro-plasma oxidation treatment named Titalyt II. The whitish color of the case is due to this treatment: it is a cristalline oxide ceramic with a high ratio of high resistant composites such as MgAl2O4 spinels. This improves both hardness and scratch resistance of this alloy, and also its wear resistance and corrosion resistance. This treatment applied to Magnesium-Aluminium is biocompatible. It is used in aerospace, automotive industries and medical sector.

A few short weeks after their partnership was announced, Richard Mille Swiss Watches is now congratulating Bubba Watson on his first PGA win of the year and the second win of his career, both in less than a year. Bubba Watson, 32 years old, was impressive during the Farmer Insurance Open Golf Championship at Torrey Pines and finished ahead of Phil Mickelson who was playing on home turf. Bubba Watson has also one of the longest drives on the circuit with a distance well-over average. Nothing seems to stand in the way of his ascension to the top of international golf and the year has started incredibly well for this unique and imaginative player who has, surprisingly, never had a golf lesson in his life.
