On November 15, 2010, Geneva, in Christie’s auction house in the fall of the traditional “Important Watch Collections” , The Chopard Swiss Watches L.U.C Louis Ulysse The Tribute Watch was auctioned in 57,500 CHF (460,000 Hong Kong dollars). This watch was unveiled in 2010 in order to celebrate its 150th anniversary. The lucky buyer of this watch make a great contribution for a noble cause except for owning this extraordinary timepiece. The combine president of Chopard Caroline Gruosi Scheufele has decided to donate all income of this watch to EHG.
Chopard L.U.C Louis Ulysse The Tribute Watch is driven by L.U.C EHG movement designed in Chopard’s cooperation with EHG. For this Geneva company, this partnership has finally achieved its long-standing dream: to create a pocket watch movement. It is an important milestone for this school founded in 1925. EHG trains 150 future watchmakers every year. It is the only school which gives students the opportunity to make “class work” in Swiss. Before Chopard’s generous help, the school is facing a shortage of movement part for teaching. And because of the small demand, it is difficult to buy new parts. Therefore it can only give privilege for a few students to create “class work”.

The research and development of L.U.C EHG spent over 5,300 hours. It is set with hours and minutes display. The small second locates at 6 o’clock. The movement has 80 hours power reserve, 3Hz, 21,600 v/h. The manual winding watch is certificated by COSC with the famous Poinçon de Genève.
Chopard L.U.C Louis Ulysse The Tribute Watch is limiited 150 pieces, meaning the 150th anniversary of Chopard. Meanwhile, it pays tribute to one of its founders Karl Scheufele I.
