Recently, Swiss famous watch manufacturer Chopard has unveiled a new chronograph in order to celebrate its close relationship with the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique.

Partnered by Chopard Watches since 2002, the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique is the vintage version of the Formula 1 race and was created in 1998 to mark the 700th anniversary of the Grimaldi family’s accession to the throne of the Principality. Raced along the same route as the Monaco F1 grand prix, it is reserved exclusively for classic racing cars. Held every two years, the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique each time will bring together more than 200 vehicles.
To celebrate this great event, Chopard two version watches: the Rose Gold Version and the Steel Version. Chopard’s new member features a black aluminium bezel against silver dial. They are equipped with s mechanical automatic movement chronometer certified by the COSC. It is protected by a 42.50mm-diameter case and is water-resistant to 50 metres. Besides, the self-winding movement has a 48-hour power reserve and the back carries a special “the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique” engraving.
Both equipped with a black perforated barenia strap, the Rose Gold Version has deep blue small second hands in accordance with the deep blue stitching of the strap. And the Steel Version has orange small second hands which echo the orange stitching on the black strap. Brilliant color plus simple design suddenly brighten the whole watch. Maybe this is subdued splendor. Except for the perforated barenia strap, the Steel Version has also been equipped with steel bracelet. Each watch just only has 250 pieces limited edition.
