Appreciate Watch Technology Innovation and Leap from Development of Tourbillon

With the improvements and innovations of time and technology, Tourbillon can be divided into the following three generations:

Tourbillon

The First Generation Tourbillon

The first Tourbillon was invented by Swiss watchmaker A.-L. Breguet (1747-1823) in 1795. This Tourbillon must include two indispensable essential components, Tourbillon’s Carriage and Tourbillon’s Bridge. In this combination, the Balance’s Bridge must rotate together with the Tourbillon. According to different combinations, the first-generation Tourbillon watch can be divided into two categories: Coaxial, the center of balance and the center of Tourbillon are on the same axis; Eccentric also known as non-coaxial, the center of balance and the center of Tourbillon are not on the same axis.

Flying Tourbillon

The Second Generation Tourbillon

In 1927, the German watchmakers Alferd Helwig produced Tourbillon pocket watch without Tourbillon Bridge, which raised the watch’s mystery and dynamic artistic beauty when it is running. But, in this combination the Balance’s Bridge still needs o rotate together with the Tourbillon, The second-generation Flying Tourbillon also have two categories: coaxial and eccentric. The difference of the first generation and the second generation Tourbillon is the Tourbillon Bridge. Flying Tourbillon removed the fixed bridge. Although the manufacturing process became more difficult, in is more beautiful than the first Tourbillon, like the water lily on a tranquil water surface. Therefore, the Flying Tourbillon is a classic element often designed at the top level watch.

Mystery Tourbillon

The Third Generation Tourbillon

Firstly invented and manufactured by Chinese watchmakeing master Kiu Tai Yu in Hong Kong in 1993, the Mystery Tourbillon not only removed the Tourbillon’s Bridge but also removed the Tourbillon’s Carriage. In addition, in this new structure, Kiu Tai Yu improved the Balance’s Bridge, it needn’t rotate together with Tourbillon, which firstly greatly reducd the weight of Toourbillon. In history of Tourbillon Manufacturing, Kiu Tai Yu initially replaced original metal Balance’s Bridge with sapphire glass. It is called Kiu’s Mystery Tourbillon and Chinese Tourbillon.

TAG Heuer Lady Formula 1 Collection and Calibre 5 Lady

Carrera Calibre 5 Lady (36mm)

Carrera is the iconic TAG Heuer series first launched in 1964 and worn by racing legend Juan Manuel Fangio. The timepiece typifies TAG Heuer’s unique connection to motor sports. The ultra-feminine Calibre 5 Lady is available for the strong and sporty TAG Heuer woman seeking a piece of the motor racing legend.

This dressed-up interpretation of TAG Heuer’s iconic Carrera is embellished with a total of 73 top Wesselton diamonds (0.628 carats) on its white mother-of-pearl dial, stainless steel case and fixed bezel. The elegance of the 36 mm timepiece is further complemented by either a stainless steel bracelet or white alligator strap, both of which feature a solid steel folding clasp with safety push buttons. Water resistant to 50 meters, the Carrera Calibre 5 Lady will hit retail in the U.S. and Canada in September 2010.

THF1 Lady Steel & Ceramic

The 2005 launch of the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Diamonds watch represented a giant challenge for TAG Heuer which, until then, had primarily targeted the men’s market. Today, however, women represent 30% of TAG Heuer’s overall turnover. The ceramic additions to the TAG Heuer Lady F1 line provide new opportunities in this growing sector.

Ceramic is a multisensory material, soft and warm yet unalterable: like a diamond, it cannot be scratched. Strong and exquisite, it is especially appealing to women. Combined with stainless steel, it creates a sublime bracelet with butterfly clasp, perfect for the most delicate wrist. The bezel on the jewelled version sparkles with 60 diamonds. The black edition is perfect for night on the town; the white, for anytime and anyplace.

For total star power, opt for the fully set bezel version with a new bracelet in ceramic and steel, the ideal accessory for those seeking something different, not overly showy or ostentatious, and always in the best of taste, no matter the circumstance.
