In 2006, Vacheron Constantin launched a limited edition Platinum Collection series. The noble and elegant platinum make Vacheron Constantin watch become treasures of collectors. In the new 2010, Vacheron Constantin made full use of platinum and successfully launched three kinds of platinum wristwatches with sophisticated functions.

Patrimony Traditionnelle Caliber 2253 is the most eye-catching watch in 2010 Vacheron Constantin watches with complicated functions. It only has limited edition of ten pieces. The movement is the manual-wind Vacheron in-house caliber 2253, with 30 jewels, beating at 18,000 bph and with a power reserve of 14 days. It is stamped with the Hallmark of Geneva. Functions are hours, minutes, seconds on tourbillon, perpetual calendar, equation of time, sunset and sunrise and power reserve indication on the caseback. The platinum case measures 43mm and has double AR-coated sapphire crystals. It is water resistant to 30 meters.

Coming in the footsteps of the 2005 VC Tour de l’Ile model and sporting three complications, the new Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle “Calibre 2755″ is the most advanced model in VC’s current product range. The aforementioned Calibre 2755 is a manual-wind mechanical movement that was developed wholly in-house. Sporting three “real” complications — minute repeater, tourbillon, and (the most useful among them) perpetual calendar that won’t require a correction in about four hundred years, the caliber fits inside a pretty compact space of only 33.3 mm in diameter and 7.9 mm in height and still stores enough energy to power the watch for 55 hours.

This kind of wristwatch is fantastic for its movement. The classic 1141 QP hand-winding movement has powerful functions of accurate timing and perpetual calendar. Its preeminent design, complication and flawless inner structure make it become the referring standard in watch field. This kind of movement has been ever used in various kinds of outstanding timepieces and is considered the most exquisite movement of the chronograph by the experts.

The acclaimed watchmaker Certina has faced the challenge of designing a spectacular watch for sophisticated women with strong character. Feminine as it is, the novel DS First Lady Ceramic watch successfully expresses the signs of its time.

The bezel of the Certina watch with black ceramic inserts and the appealing pink PVD-treated case demonstrate refined color contrasts, which will surely attract true watch lovers.

The new Certina watch is proposed with a pink PVD-coated 316L stainless steel case. Assembled with a sapphire crystal, the case also features a ceramic cabochon on the crown. Its water-resistance is down to 100 meters.

The dial of the lady’s watch has been created in two versions: black or white. It is equipped with superb pyramidal hour-markers. The display also exposes a 30-minute, 1/10 seconds and small seconds sub-dials, located at 10, 2 and 6 respectively. They are joined by the date aperture at 4 o’clock.

The Certina DS First Lady Ceramic watch is equipped with a white or black rubber strap, finished with a butterfly clasp. The brand also offers another interpretation of this model: a three-hand version with a small seconds counter at 6 o’clock.

The specialized workshop GRIEB & BENZINGER presents the PLATINUM edition. This unique watch concept means pure luxury, exclusivity and uniqueness combined with historical watch making: GRIEB & BENZINGER craft unique wristwatches based on exceptional historic movements. Original movements with complications such as minute repeaters originally made by the greatest old masters of horology such as Patek Philippe built from around 1880 to 1920 are restored and modified here, using traditional handcraft from the old days when the historic movements have been built to create unique GRIEB & BENZINGER PLATNUM style timepieces on customer’s request.

Classic old watches are thus turned into new exclusive fine platinum masterpieces. Amongst other things, the conception is based on traditional – and nowadays very rare – techniques of craftsmanship for the finishing of the movements: skeletonising, engraving and guilloch by hand.

There are no more than a handful of specialists world-wide to master this art of traditional handcraft today. Thus only a maximum of ten restored timepieces per year are created in this classic and explicitly time-consuming way, each single one of them a true unicum.

The latest GRIEB & BENZINGER one-off is based on an original movement by Patek Philippe Minute Repeater movement, exclusively built for the famous New York based jeweller TIFFANY’s around 1887. This special watch movement has been modified into a GRIEB & BENZINGER style regulator – restored, guilloch? hand-engraved and coated with blue platinum to be ready to turn into a new exclusive timepiece. The hand-skeletonized Sterling Silver dial reveals the movement. The massive 48 mm diameter case is made of 130 g platinum. The exclusive unicum presents itself unexpectedly discreet, in the eye of the connoisseur beholder, however, it unmistakably shows its breathtaking quality. But there will only be one lucky timepiece enthusiast world-wide to enjoy wearing this exclusive watch at his wrist.

Among collectors and connoisseurs world-wide the specialized GRIEB & BENZINGER workshop in south Germany is a leading name when it comes to extraordinary timepieces and restoration. With its mostly historic special machinery, the workshop reminds of an industrial museum and the spirit of Abraham-Louis Breguet. The three partners Georg Bartkowiak, Jochen Benzinger and Hermann Grieb clients range from collectors, private connoisseurs, to head of state, and even renowned brands such as IWC or Chronoswiss.
